Dr Peter Rogers MD (YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@PeterRogersMD) has written a great book on Dr John McDougall, the doctor who built his career on curing patients chronic diseases through nutrition.
The full title of the book is “John McDougall, the doctor who fought for you: The greatest doctor who ever lived “. But I like the subtitle better than the title itself! Here is the Amazon link for this book: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DDRKV47P
So Why is Dr John McDougall the best doctor who ever lived? This is because he cured around 12,000 people in his clinic just by changing their diet. He also cured numerous people through his books, YouTube videos and his website https://www.drmcdougall.com/ . This website is a great source of quality information on lots of diseases.

Dr John McDougall died on Jun 22, 2024 just a few months back. He had a massive stroke when he was 18 years old. That is what prompted him to improve his diet and go into medicine. He was doctor of internal medicine. Born in a working class family in Michigan in 1947, he did his internship in Hawaii. He found that Japanese and Pilipino laborers working in plantations often had much better health and fitness compared to prosperous professional and business class people.
Dr McDougall observed that People love to hear “good things” about their bad habits. And that is the a big obstacle for them in achieving good health!
We refer to low fat, low salt, Starches based vegan diet as McDougall diet.

The SAD aka Western diet is food poisoning, and it causes acne, constipation, GERD, obesity, hypertension, diabetes, coronary artery disease, arthritis…
